What is an Air Dome?
An Air Dome, also known as an air-supported structure, is a modern, large-span building that uses high-pressure air to support its form. Made of durable, high-strength membrane materials like PVC or PVDF, it requires no internal columns or steel framework. This makes it ideal for covering large sports areas quickly and efficiently.
Spans of 20 to 100+ meters with zero internal obstructions. Perfect for basketball courts, soccer fields, tennis courts, swimming pools, and multi-sport facilities.
Scenario lighting difficulty
Air domes are usually closed and airtight structures with high humidity and large temperature fluctuations. Ordinary lights are easily damaged by high humidity, temperature difference, or condensation, resulting in frequent failures and high maintenance costs.
Due to the special structure of the air dome hall and the non-fixed roof height, ordinary lights are complicated to install and difficult to maintain. Lights are often exposed to difficult-to-access places, resulting in a long maintenance cycle.
Due to the reflective light characteristics of the air dome hall structure, ordinary lights are prone to light spots or shadows, and cannot evenly cover the entire venue, affecting the visual experience of the game or event.
High light weight requirements : The roof structure of the air dome hall is usually thin and has limited load-bearing capacity. The excessive weight of traditional lights may cause additional pressure on the roof, increasing safety hazards and structural burdens.

- 80W–150W lights in corridors and entrance zones for soft, glare-free lighting.

The IP66 waterproof and dustproof ratings, Athena fixtures resist corrosion caused by condensation—ideal for the closed and humid environment of an air dome. This reduced maintenance frequency significantly.
